DA-BAR benchmarks UPLB’s fund governance system

To strengthen the bureau’s internal processes and systems, a benchmarking activity for fund governance was organized by the UPLB Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research for Research and Extension (OVCRE). This was participated by DA-BAR technical and finance staff on September 18, 2025 in Los Baños, Laguna. 

Best practices in supply and property management, accounting, and research and extension were shared to the group. The university’s Standing Committee on Liquidation and Compliance of Externally-funded Projects was introduced, its composition, purpose and deliverables to address concerns related to projects after its completion. 

The UPLB TUKLAS was also presented by OVCRE’s Knowledge Management, Extension and Public Service Section. This system is effective in monitoring externally-funded projects from approval to completion.
