DA-BAR prioritizes funding applied research done in research stations and focused on technology generation geared toward gaining knowledge and understanding, as well as addressing pressing issues. The bureau also provides support to technology verification and disseminaton, done on farmer's fields, sites, or locations, directed toward fine-tuning and verification of newly developed technologies to determine its feasibility on the ground level.
