The Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) joins the DA, and other attached agencies and staff bureaus in the opening of the 9th Organic Agriculture (OA) month, themed Maunlad na Pagsasaka, Garantisado sa Organikong Agrikultura, on 10 November 2023 at the Covered Court, Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City.

As part of the celebration, a three-day technology exhibit featuring the latest OA technologies is held. DA-BAR showcases in its booth supported OA research for development technologies such as organic and natural  products and organic soil amendments. Information, education, and communication materials produced by implementing agencies of BAR-funded OA projects are displayed and distributed to interested visitors.  

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1030 series of 2015, OA month is celebrated every November to recognize the importance of organic agriculture and encourage its adoption as an effective tool for development, environmental conservation, and health protection of farmers, consumers, as well as the general public.
