The DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research participated in the observance of the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2023 on 9 March 2023.

The employees ducked down, took cover under their desks, and held on until the emergency siren stopped. This was followed by an orderly evacuation of the employees led by the Security Services OIC Regie Calapi.

The activity, a nationwide undertaking of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and Office of Civil Defense, aims to prepare everyone for a dreadful earthquake situation, also known as “The Big One”.
