FAO cites DA-BAR

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN-FAO) awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) for its support as national coordinating partner to the six-year old R4DE project titled, Dynamic Conservation and Sustainable Use of Agrobiodiversity in Traditional Agroecosystems of the Philippines.  Also known as the Agrobiodiversity (ABD) project, this is being implemented by UN-FAO in collaboration with DA-BAR.

Awarding the Certificate to DA-BAR OIC Director Joell H. Lales is FAO Agrobiodiversity Project Management Coordinating Unit National Coordinator Virginia Agcopra who thanked the bureau for its all-out support to the Agrobiodiversity Project which benefited the farmers in the project’s three pilot municipalities namely Hungduan and Hingyon in Ifugao and Lake Sebu in South Cotabato.
