To revitalize the adlay program in the region, DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research OIC-director Joell H. Lales met with the officials and staff from DA ZamPen, representatives from Western Mindanao State University and Mutia Adlay Farmers Association on 15 December 2022  in Hotel Guillermo, Pagadian, Zamboanga del Norte. 

Among discussed during the assessment and scoping activity of the adlay program were the marketing strategies of adlay, shelf life improvement of adlay grits, postharvest facilities, and possible tie-up ventures with other sectors.

The activity is in line with the bureau’s desire of bringing the research for development straight to our farmers and fishers through the help of partner-institutions, other government agencies and local government units. ###
