Key officials from the DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) together with other attached agencies and staff bureaus of the Department of Agriculture participated in the 2022 World Food Day Celebration on 17 October at the DA Central Office, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City. 

DA joins the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN-FAO) to call on government institutions, private sector, state universities and colleges, and individuals "to work together in solidarity to prioritize the right of all people to food, nutrition, peace and equality." This year’s World Food Day carried the theme, “Leave no one behind.” 

Gracing the celebration are Committee on Agriculture, Food and Agrarian Reform Chairperson and Senator Cynthia A. Villar; DA Policy, Planning, and Regulations undersecretary Mercedita A. Sombilla; DA OIC-undersecretary for Administration and Finance and World Food Day celebration chairperson Atty. Jane C. Bacayo; World Food Programme acting country director Dipayan Bhattacharyya; UN-FAO assistant representative Tamara P. Duran.
