YL:SCALE UP Ceremonial Launching and MOA Signing in San Fernando, La Union

The DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) and the DA-Ilocos Region conducted the ceremonial launching and signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Yamang Lupa: Sustainable Community-Based Action R4DE for Livelihood Enhancement, Upliftment, and Prosperity (YL:SCALE UP) Program on 5 May 2022 in San Fernando, La Union.

Anchored on the DA's goal of "Masaganang ani, Mataas na Kita", the YL:SCALE UP program is expected to cover thousands of hectares of rainfed areas in the country toward boosting farmers' productivity and strengthening their coping mechanisms amidst climate anomalies. Furthermore, the program aims to establish innovative and sustainable agriculture through the enhanced Yamang Lupa Program (YLP) approaches and strategies.

Signifying partnership, assistant director Lales and  DA-Ilocos key officials led by OIC regional executive director Dr. Nestor D. Domenden, Research Division chief Dr. Gilbert D. Rabara, and Accounting Section chief Arnold T. Ebreo sign the MOA for the project. In attendance are technical staff and officials from DA-BAR and DA-Ilocos.
