The Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) joins the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Tourism, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement  in celebration of the Filipino Food Month or "Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino" with the theme "Pagkaing Pilipino Susi sa Pag-unlad at Pagbabago". 

Agriculture Secretary William Dar led the DA kick-off ceremony on 4 April 2022 at the DA Headquarters, Quezon City.

One of the highlights of the event was the showcasing of various cuisines from the selected regions of the country. DA-BAR showcased the Pinoy GOURmix developed by DA-Cagayan Valley, a locally developed instant porridge or “lugaw” that can serve  as an alternative source of a nutritious and complete smart food due to its content.
