15 DA-BAR undergrad scholars finish with Latin honors

To capacitate the human resources that will mobilize the agriculture and fisheries research for development sector, the bureau has been supporting NaRDSAF member-institutions pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees related to agriculture. Fifteen DA-BAR undergraduate scholars graduated with Latin honors during the 50th University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) Commencement Exercises held on 6 August 2022. 

Ten of the graduates earned Magna Cum Laude: Patricia Ann L. Lao (BS Agriculture major in Horticulture); Ace Mhar R. Anatulan, Kimberly J. Alemania, Erika Marielle C. Bugaoisan, and Carl Joseph M. Sapin (BS Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship); Jay-Al P. Reyes (BS in Agricultural and Applied Economics); and Justine Ann C. Alcantara, Aaron Paul M. Landicho, Rizza B. Ramoran, and Christian Jay C. Ramos (BS Development Communication). 

The remaining five earned Cum Laude: Annie M. Biboso (BS Agriculture major in Animal Science); Ma. Jaymee B. Palenzuela (BS Agriculture major in Horticulture); Remyrose P. Gallanosa, and Karl Vincent J. Jose (BS Agricultural Biotechnology); and Annjellah Mae Casio (BS Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship). 

Further, two DA-BAR staff who were scholars of the bureau also graduated from UPLB. Alvin L. Fontanil and Gian Carlo R. Espiritu finished Master of Science in Horticulture and Agronomy, respectively. 

Meanwhile, Mara Shyn M. Valdeabella, DA-BAR scholar and staff, also graduated with a Master of Community Development (Class of 2020) degree from University of the Philippines Diliman on 31 July 2022. (### Rena S. Hermoso)
