DA-BAR, Trento RES unveil one-stop shop in Agusan del Sur

DA-BAR director Dr. Junel B. Soriano led the ribbon cutting and unveiling of the One-Stop Shop for Knowledge and Product Display/Farmers Information Technology Services (FITS) Center and Processing Area at the DA-Trento Research and Experiment Station (RES), Agusan del Norte on 28 July 2022.

He was joined by DA-CARAGA officials–regional technical director for Research and Integrated Laboratory Nicandro M. Navia, Jr., Research Division head Abel F. Wagas, and Trento RES chief Dr. Escolastico Cagatin. 

The DA-BAR-funded One-Stop Shop, which was lodged under the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act or Bayanihan 2, will showcase technologies and products like black soy milk, black soy beverage, and roasted black soybean, which are being generated and developed by Trento RES. 

RTD Navia acknowledged DA-BAR’s support and expressed the regional office’s goal to further develop more technologies that can be used by many and will later on become significant in the agriculture sector. 

Completed in December 2021, the facility aims to hasten the dissemination and adoption of generated technologies relevant to crop and livestock production. 

Dr. Soriano also visited the DA-BAR-funded projects like the Greenhouse Farm located at the Trento RES, one of the three research stations of DA CARAGA. (### Kathleen Mae B. Bulquerin)
