DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) director Dr. Sailila E.Abdula had a brief meeting with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization - Project Management and Coordination unit (FAO-PMCU) to discuss the accomplishments and sustainability plans for the Dynamic Conservation and Sustainable Use of Agrobiodiversity in Traditional Agroecosystems of the Philippines project. 

Funded by the Global Environment Facility and jointly implemented by FAO, DA-BAR, and partner local government units, the project seeks to enhance and promote the sustainable use of agro-biodiversity in traditional agro-ecosystems.

Attending the meeting from the FAO-PMCU side were Virginia L. Agcopra, national project coordinator; Kathleen Ramilo,

senior enterprise development specialist; Atty. Paz Benavidez, lead, ABD Policy Consultant; and Marlon S. Makilan,

programme and training specialist. DA-BAR assistant director for Programs Joell H. Lales, Research Program Development Division head Raymond Patrick Cabrera, and bureau staff also participated in the meeting.
