National Review and Planning Workshop for Commercial Crops

25-29 September 2017
Los Baños, Laguna.

In view of prioritizing research and development (R&D) efforts on commercial crops, the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR), in collaboration with the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP), conducted the “National Review and Planning Workshop for BAR-supported R&D Projects on Commercial Crops (Vegetables and Rootcrops)” on 25-29 September 2017 in Los Baños, Laguna.

Spearheaded by the bureau’s Program Development Division, the activity served as the second part of the series of workshops on high-value crops that aimed to put R&D interventions, specifically on vegetables and rootcrops, in place to support the targets of the industry, the HVCDP, and the Agriculture Department as a whole. In the break-out sessions, the participants were grouped into three to work on: 1) vegetables, 2) herbs and spices, and 3) rootcrops. ###
