As the Department of Agriculture’s lead coordinating agency for agriculture and fisheries research and development (R&D), the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) gives high priority to the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of all its funded projects. Through this, BAR is not only thoroughly assessing and reviewing the status of the projects, whether the targets have been achieved, but are also looking into the potentials that a project holds. It is in this light that the bureau continues to see the importance of conducting the “Review and Evaluation of BAR-Funded Projects under the National Technology Commercialization Program”. In 2013, a total of 126 projects were successfully reviewed and evaluated. Out of which, 88 are completed and 44 are on-going.
